To Wit: The North half of the Lot numbered five of Section Fifteen in Township Fourteen South of Range Seventeen West in the District of Lands subject to sale in Columbua, Mississippi, containing Forty-two acres and thirteen hundredths of an acre.3

TEXT OF LAND GIFT DEED This indenture made and entered into on this the 8th day of October, 1867 between the party of the first part and John Barnyan Easter (my nephew being the son of my brother Alson E. Easter) of the second part both of the county of Monroe County and the state of Mississippi. Witnesseth that the party of the first part as well for and in consideration of the natural love and affections which the said party of the first part has and bears unto the said party of the second part as also for the better support and maintenance livelihood of kin the said party of the first part has this day given granted aliened and conveyed and confirmed and by these presents does grant aliened carry and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigners all the following described real and personal property to wit: Lots nos. 2 and 5.1 and five and fifty acres off the north end of the west half (w/a) of the northwest quarter (n.w. 1/4) of section (15) fifteen and fifty acres off the north end of the east half (e 1/2) of the north west (N.W.) 1/4 section (16) all in township fourteen (14) range seventeen (17) west containing by estimation (223) two hundred and twenty-three acres to the same more or less together with all and singulus the timements herachitment privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in wise appertaining also all the following personal property hereinafter described, namely one sorrel mare and sorrel mare mule colt and one gray mare, seven head of cattle, fifty head of hogs and his household and kitchen furniture, also his farming implements and utensils of every kind, character, and description whatever to have and to hold the above described and hereby conveyed or intended to be hereby conveyed or intended to be hereby conveyed lands and all other premises and personal property above mentioned described and conveyed unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever.
