A contract for the marriage of Sarah Thompson and Edmund Brewer was signed after 16 October 1792 at Elbert County, Georgia, Sarah received land and goods from the will of James Easter. Following James' death in late 1791 or early 1792, Sarah entered into a prenuptual agreement with one Edmund Brewer that was intended to protect the children of James Easter. The agreement provided that title to slaves, furniture, etc. in her possession from the estate of James Easter be vested in Samuel Watkins, Robert Thompson, and Richard Easter during her lifetime. At Sarah's death, the trustees are to divide the residue equally between Lotty Easter, Sophy Easter, Tere Easter, "Patty Easter" now Patty Aycock, William Thompson Easter, Booker Burton Easter, Tabby, Lewis, and Champion Easter, the children of James Easter, deceased.
