     Thomas J. Blair was born in 1829 at Monroe County, Mississippi.3 He was the son of Joseph Blair and Sarah Ann Gibson.1,2 Thomas J. Blair married Sarah M. Booker on 18 April 1850 at Monroe County, Mississippi.2 Thomas J. Blair died on 1 February 1897 at Monroe County, Mississippi.4 He was buried on 4 February 1897 at Blair Cemetery, Monroe County, Mississippi.5
     Thomas J. Blair joined the 43rd Mississippi Infantry on 9 September, 1862 at Athens, Mississippi to serve under Captain Gholson. This company was successively designated as the Mississippi Volunteers. Muster rolls, February through June of 1863 show that he was sent to hospitals in Jackson and Vicksburg. The company surrendered at Vicksburg on July 4, 1863 and furloughed for 30 days from July 23, 1863. No further information is available on his service record.2

     A contract for the marriage of Edmund Brewer and Sarah Thompson was signed after 16 October 1792 at Elbert County, Georgia, Sarah received land and goods from the will of James Easter. Following James' death in late 1791 or early 1792, Sarah entered into a prenuptual agreement with one Edmund Brewer that was intended to protect the children of James Easter. The agreement provided that title to slaves, furniture, etc. in her possession from the estate of James Easter be vested in Samuel Watkins, Robert Thompson, and Richard Easter during her lifetime. At Sarah's death, the trustees are to divide the residue equally between Lotty Easter, Sophy Easter, Tere Easter, "Patty Easter" now Patty Aycock, William Thompson Easter, Booker Burton Easter, Tabby, Lewis, and Champion Easter, the children of James Easter, deceased. [CD]1 Edmund Brewer married Sarah Thompson after 16 October 1792 at Elbert County, Georgia.

She lived in St. Louis, Missouri, West Memphis, Arkansas and in Verona, Miss for 35 years.
She was a Member of the Verona Church of Christ.
She married James Buford Easter in 1945; he preceded her in death in 2000.
Services were held at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory, Miss with Ministers Wayne Cox and David Peden officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery in Amory.
Survivors include a Son, Keith Bryan Easter and his Wife, Gloria Armstrong, of Tupelo, a Grand Daughter, Tracey Leigh Easter of Starkville, Miss; and many Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; her Husband; a Son, James "Jimmy" Douglas; a Daughter, Barbara Kay Easter; Three(3) Brothers, Dalton, Doug and Durley Bryan; and a Sister, Dorothy Bryan.
